A warm atmosphere overlooked by a colorful and flowery universe is what defines the Grimaldi, our charming, familial hotel in the center of Nice.
The facades of Hotel Le Grimaldi have kept the elegance from the Belle Epoque. Guest rooms feature a more exotic and Mediterranean décor.
The interiors match glass with wrought iron or weathered wood and remind of the South.
With a surface area of between 22 and 35 m2, these air-conditioned rooms feature a Queen-Size bed and a sofa bed. All rooms have their own private bathroom and are ideally equipped with hairdryer, flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi connection and more.
Ideally located in the city centre of this elegant French Riviera town, our charming hotel in the heart of Nice will be a resort offering you all the necessary comfort for a pleasant stay near the Mediterranean sea.
The setting is unique: an authentic taste of luxury in the spirit of the Côte d’Azur for sensational moments of peace and relaxation.
While Nice welcomes several thousand visitors every year, it is not always easy for families to find the ideal accommodation. It must be said that hotels for families in Nice are rather rare.
However, there is one family hotel in Nice that stands out from its competitors: the Hotel Grimaldi, a charming hotel where our staff will be happy to welcome you and your children. Located 5 minutes walk from Nice-Ville train station (locally called Thiers train station), this 3-star hotel is the ideal place for train travellers. The hotel offers comfortable family rooms and spacious suites designed for 4 people.
Whether you come for a weekend or a week, you will enjoy staying in a hotel in the centre of Nice. Indeed, this is where you will find the most lively areas of the city. And something makes us think that you will like to stroll there...
From our charming hotel in the center of Nice, it will only take you a few minutes' walk to get to the famous Place Masséna, the real heart of this seaside town. Inaugurated in 1852, the Place Masséna, which was named the "Place Carrée", was extensively redeveloped in 2008 to become a pedestrian area in its own right.
On the Place Masséna, the Fountain of the Sun and its five sculpted bronze statues proudly stand, as well as seven scribes at the top of their pedestal, the "Sitting Tatoos", the work of the Catalan artist Jaume Plensa. These scribes have the peculiarity of changing colour at every moment.
Starting from Place Masséna, the Avenue Jean Médecin will be of interest to you, especially if you are a shopper. It is indeed the main shopping artery of Nice. Its perpendiculars are also very popular with fashionistas.
Thanks to its location in the heart of Nice, our charming 3-star hotel will also give you the opportunity to discover on foot the Vieux Nice, an area of unrivalled charm with its narrow streets and colourful buildings. Those who know the small villages of Italy will not be out of place in the old town. Note that the Palais Lascaris, a beautiful aristocratic residence considered a jewel of Baroque art, is well worth a visit.
But from our hotel in Nice center, you can also go and discover the other main districts. All of them are accessible with the tramway line 1, or the lines 5, 8, 11 and 12 which have stops close to our hotel:
➢ The Wilson district and its many restaurants and shops.
➢ The Carré d'Or district, resolutely international, is home to fashion brands, jewellers, casinos and palaces.
➢ The Musiciens district, emblem of the "Belle Époque", is home to sumptuous bourgeois buildings of Art Deco inspiration.
➢ The Flower District or the Libération district are more traditionally "Nice" and residential.
